Who we are
Since 1947 IFES (the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students) has pioneered indigenously-led student outreach in more than 170 countries. Please follow this link to learn more about IFES. IFES work follows a clear set of doctrinal principles set out in our statement of belief.
Graduate Impact has been working with graduates from IFES groups since 2003 as they transition into working life. Originally focussed on the countries of Europe and Eurasia, we are now supporting emerging graduates ministry in any part of the IFES world.
We help them:
keep walking with Jesus as they join the workforce; and
become ambassadors for Christ in their workplaces.

Graduates and IFES
Graduates are the fruit of IFES student ministry.
For the sake of Christ’s kingdom, we want to make sure they remain connected to him.
For the future of our ministry, we would love them to remain connected to IFES.
-
Students
This is the primary group IFES works with, which includes full-time students, part-time students and postgraduate students.
The focus is on enabling and equipping them to share Christ with those they study with, and to grow in understanding of the nature of Christ’s Lordship in their lives as students.
Every student will become a graduate when they reach the end of their studies.
-
Graduates
IFES Graduate Impact primarily works with young adults who have finished university and started full-time work, part-time students who are also working, and postgraduate students.
The focus is on understanding how to become salt and light in the workplace. Every graduate from every IFES movement needs help with this.
Some of our graduates will become alumni.
-
Alumni
These are the graduates who want their local IFES to be sustainable and who will commit to pray, give their time and expertise, and become financial supporters of the local IFES.
These ‘superfans’ play a hugely strategic role in helping IFES in its role of building communities of students who are transformed by Jesus’ gospel and of impacting their university, the church and society for the glory of Christ.
Not all graduates will become our alumni.
The doctrinal basis of IFES
-
The unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the Godhead.
-
The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgement.
-
The divine inspiration and entire trustworthiness of Holy Scripture, as originally given, and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
-
The universal sinfulness and guilt of all people since the fall, rendering them subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.
-
Redemption from the guilt, penalty, dominion and pollution of sin, solely through the sacrificial death (as our representative and substitute) of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God.
-
The bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and his ascension to the right hand of God the Father.
-
The presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration.
-
The justification of the sinner by the grace of God through faith alone.
-
The indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit in the believer.
-
The one holy universal Church which is the body of Christ and to which all true believers belong.
-
The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
